this is not a final sheet by any means, but his full body ref is done. At least the art part of it. There are some effects (the glowiness on his tail magics) that I didn't get to add yet. His wings are basically those colors, I just couldn't flesh them out yet. Also his wing hands are in there... you can barely see them, but they are long and ugly.

I needed to get it up though, for the contest. I figure this is enough for people to at least draw him, if they wanted to. If there are any details left out or something I wouldn't mind, I just want there to be something up of him so he can participate in the contest!

Here is some info I am going to add to the sheet, but for now I will just type it up:

Pattern: Barred Tiger Salamander

Element: Earth. Secondary element is fire. He likes to blow things up <:[

Occupation: Magi. More specifically he researches magic and elements and tries to cultivate them so that they are usable for Avians. His interests are mainly weaponry magic for the war. He's a bit obsessed with his work and he's not really as in touch with reality as the rest of the world. He's a sort of mad scientist, if you will... experimenting with unharnessed elements and magic has left him a bit deformed:

Deformities: As a result of tinkering with magics, Deva has suffered some side effects.
- The bleaching scars on his front legs and face are a result of an experiment gone wrong.
- His wings are tattered from mishaps and he cannot fly
- He has a second set of smaller, completely useless wings under the first set.
- His tail is swollen from magic storage
- His feet are deformed from extensive use, age, and constantly walking everywhere instead of flying. The toes and talons curve unappealingly.
- His toe talons break often and grow erratically
- Feathers are usually frayed or damaged.

Personality: Like I said, he's a bit deranged. He has apprentices, but besides them he prefers to be left alone to work. His main interests are for his work and the war. Because of his devotion to his job, he is kind of socially retarded (as in he's not used to society and not sure how to compose himself). So he comes off rude or antisocial sometimes. He's not mean by nature, just a bit impatient and self sufficient. I imagine he wishes he was more in touch with Avian society, but then he remembers he has work to do and forgets about it.
He also does experiments on living beings, since he's testing out weapons of war. He's hell bent on being the master of magic weaponry and will sacrifice nearly anything to succeed. Including his morality.
